Robert McVay, MS, CISO, CISSP

Robert is the founding partner for Optimus Partners, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business consulting company focused on strategy development and operationalization for technology driven organizations. He was the former Chief Information Security Officer and Deputy CIO for the US Missile Defense Agency, responsible for the development and security the most advanced network for the US ballistic missile defense systems and its allies. As a US Army Officer, COL (ret) McVay, a decorated combat veteran, has led several of the US Army’s most advanced, multi-billion-dollar, weapon and software development programs, covering all aspects for research, engineering, development, and test. He has successfully developed and deployed two enterprise resource planning systems for the US Army and the government of Afghanistan. He has spent that past ten years developing and deploying cyber security systems at all levels for the Department of Defense. Robert teaches Enterprise Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University and MIT’s Emeritus Cyber Security.
