Melissa Norcross, Ph.D., MBA

Melissa Norcross is an accomplished Senior Executive and Advisor and author of The Intentional Executive with 20+ years of success on three continents. Her experience spans the financial, technology, and management consulting sectors with expertise in strategy development, driving growth, process improvement, leadership development, and organizational transformation.


Throughout her career, Dr. Norcross has held leadership positions at organizations including USAA, Collaborative Gain and McKinsey & Company. She previously held VP and Chief Strategy Officer roles for high growth technology companies. In addition to her role as a partner at Optimus, she teaches on leadership, strategy, and organizational change for the Naval Postgraduate School and Emeritus and moderates peer-learning council for C-level executives focused operational improvements and profit-generating strategies.


She holds a BS in Engineering from MIT, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a Ph.D. in Values-Driven Leadership from Benedictine University’s Center for Values-Driven Leadership. Her research and publications have focused on leadership, team performance, organizational change and humility. She has lived and worked in France, Germany, Poland, England, Canada and the United States.
